Planning in the Early Years – Non-maintained contracted settings

A workshop led by the Childcare Advisors, where participants will explore with the Advisors the various ways to plan for children’s development, in line with the New Curriculum.

Outcomes

During this session we will explore how planning in the early years meets the needs of individuals within your settings linking to prior knowledge, experiences and the child’s interests.  We will look at how you and your team can support children to make progress and ensure that your planning reflects day to day observations. We will consider how your environment is set up and resourced for open-ended play-based learning experiences that allow enabling adults to engage in teachable moments and opportunities to extend learning.

Target audience

Non-maintained staff who work in non-maintained settings that are contracted to deliver Flying Start, Assisted Places and Supported Places.
